CCG Patient Participation Group (PPG)
This group includes representatives from each North Hampshire GP Practice’s PPG. The group provides the opportunity to ensure that the valuable suggestions and feedback from the PPGs are shared with the CCG.
Communications, Engagement, Involvement Forum
This forum has two key roles:
Providing a two way flow of information from key stakeholders to the CCG and back
Assuring the CCG on the public involvement and engagement it undertakes.
The forum is chaired by a CCG lay adviser with responsibility for patient and public involvement who has direct links to the CCG Partnership Board. Members include local councillors and council officers, patient representatives and Hampshire Healthwatch. NHS provider organisations are invited to attend and update on their engagement work at relevant meetings.
Our Community Ambassadors work with the CCG to help develop plans, understand local areas better, produce accessible information and get messages out to local communities. They play a huge role in helping to design health services as well as evaluating the impact of services on users.
This is not a traditional volunteering role. Community Ambassadors dip in and out as their commitments allow and based on which tasks or projects spark their interest. They are individuals who put their time, experience, knowledge and skills to the CCG’s disposal - free of charge, except for reimbursement of expenses – and we are extremely grateful for their contribution.
Roles can include the following
- Volunteering regularly to attend meetings, events or collect feedback
- Only becoming involved when a project arises that matches your skills, experiences and interests
- Becoming a critical friend, occasionally reviewing documents from home and making comment
- Becoming a point of contact who can facilitate talks to certain groups of the community
