Adelaide Medical Centre, Andover

The GPs of Adelaide Medical Centre have given NHS West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) notice ending their contract to provide services on 31 October 2020, citing increasing workload and difficulties recruiting GPs as a result of national shortages.

The CCG is looking at the future of the Adelaide Medical Centre, which has over 9,000 registered patients, and the CCG and all local practices are working together to ensure continuity of local services beyond 31 October 2020.

Patients should not do anything immediately and should continue to see their GP or nurse at Adelaide Medical Centre unless they are informed otherwise.

Dr Sarah Schofield, Chairman of West Hampshire CCG, said: "We are committed to ensuring that patients can continue to receive high quality care in the area".
